Our Mission Statement"The mission of the Sinclair Church of Christ is to be aware of the needs of people and interested in the lives of individuals by pointing him or her to Christ who will make them whole spiritually, socially, physically, mentally, and emotionally in this life, and he will give them eternal life in the life to come." (Matthew 9:22)
Our Vision StatementThe Sinclair Church of Christ is seeking to redefine the past prejudices regarding rural congregations. Most rural congregations lack the resources in order to flourish like larger congregations; however, Sinclair has decided to challenge mediocre ministry due to size. The church is not a social club, entertainment center or relationship website. The church is a group of people called out in the world following the apostles' doctrine. (Acts 2:42)
The New Testament church does not worship with mechanical instruments. (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16) We, Sinclair Church of Christ, believe the leadership role in the church has been given to men. (1 Timothy 2:11-14; 3:1-12) We believe that Jesus promised to build only one church bearing his name signifying ownership. (Matt. 16:18; Romans 16:16) We don't believe in joining churches because according to the scriptures individuals are added to the church. (Acts 2:47) The minister in the New Testament church is not referred to as the "Pastor" unless he fits the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy. We don't refer to men as "Reverend" because this name refers to God. (Psalm 111:9) The church has no headquarters on earth because the headquarters is in heaven where the head dwells. (John 14:1,2; Acts 1:9-11) We believe that New Testament baptism is for the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) What must man or woman do in today's society in order to be saved? Hear the Gospel of Christ (Romans 10:17), believe the Gospel of Christ (Acts 15:7), repent of all past sins (Acts 17:30), confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Matt. 10:32), be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38), be faithful unto death (Rev. 2:10). If you are interested in learning more about the Church of Christ please attend one in your local area. If you are Willing, God is Able!! We believe the church of Christ is not a denomination. We are not Baptist Christians, Catholic Christians, Methodist Christians or any other denominational name. We are simply Christians according to biblical pattern. (Acts 11:26) The New Testament church was built by Christ according to the scriptures. (Matthew 16:18) It was established by in A.D. 33 on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem. (Acts 2:1-4, 47) The New Testament church worships God in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:24) |
